Cherry Punk

At 430 King’s Road, London, in Vivienne Westwood’s store called SEX, that’s where it all begins. Fashion-forward youth with bleached hair exchange rare vinyl records. Worn denim, hand-painted leather, latex, tartans, prints that would make your parents blush and confine you at home all summer long... Did Punk invent fashion, or did fashion invent Punk? From underground clubs to national television, Punk has always had its own style, its own press (fanzines), its own films, its own poetry... It was destined to have its own fragrance. Strong like rehearsals in a soundproof-less room. Powerful like a youth riot, yet always tender and romantic—the idealism of adolescence wrapped in a heavy leather jacket.
